ThePath-GoalTheory’smain idea In the case of the soccer team we observed the Path-Goal theory is highly related in the sense that motivation plays and essential role in the success of the team. Also the theory can be applied to this soccer team since the goals set for them must be ambitious, yet achievable.
Sportsleadership in theworkplace Businesses and sportsleaders share commoncharacteristics: -tenacity and perseverance, the negotiating capacity, flexibility, charisma, creativity, management skills, strategic vision and ability to communicate
So… Whatcapabilities can betransferedfromthefieldtothe office??? A shared vision.  A professional approach to analysis and decision making.  Complementary Roles. Development of trust and commitment.  Ability to learn.  Dynamism of the environment Control of emotions. Passion and energy.
Onlythe coach can be a leader??NOT AT ALL!!
