1. Product Advertisement: Product advertising is the art of building and maintaining product
awareness with potential buyers.
2. Service Advertisement: This type of advertisement is used to create awareness about a service to
its target customers or potential buyers.

2. 3. Institutional advertisement: This type of advertisement is used to promote a company rather than
a product or service. Example- Citizen Bank, Coca-Cola, Pepsi etc.
4. Public Relation advertisement: PR is a tool which is used to build image of a company. It
highlights the achievements of the company. When a company went through bad phase,
then PR is used to bring the company in track. Example- Kronwicky, AT & T, Red Bull,
Apple etc.

3. 5. Financial Advertisement: It is the practice of advertising to the investors, loan, banking,
insurance and mortgage consumer. Example- Ally, BOA, SBI Home loan, ING DIRECT
mortgage loan etc.

4. 6. Public Service advertisement: These are primarily designed to inform and educate people rather
than selling a product or service. It creates awareness and change public opinion.
Example- Barnardo’s, Fitness, education, safe sex, etc.
