PROF. JOSE SANCHEZ
A combinatoric/crowdsourcing solution
utilizing a gaming engine to design a building
system to carry information. For this
particular project, interweaving piping units,
inscribed in rhombic dodecahedron, were
aggregated to carry essentials to plants,
demonstrating the potentials of combinatorics
and crowdsourcing in creating working
systems, yet aesthetically intriguing.

4. A piping unit inscribed in rhombic dodecahedron -with its ‘perfect packing’ characteristic-
connects seamlessly with each others, creating opportunities for various pattern pattern
discoveries while serving as agents to carry essentials to plants.

5. Supplemental unites were designed to circulate the essentials through the system and bring back the waste to the
filter to be fed back into the system.

18. QUESTION:
What would a shopping mall look like if it is built
on top of an abandoned gravel pit in San
Bernardino County, located in Greater Los
Angeles area?
ANSWER:
The shopping mall will be a symbol of the power
and speed. It will symbolize the capitalism and
automobile transportation and how humans are
capable to leave a big scar on the face of the
earth.
