BLOCK OF FLATS. A large building that is divided into apartments.

BUNGALOW. A small one-storey house, sometimes with an attic.

COTTAGE. A small, simple house, especially in the country, sometimes they have thatched roofs.

DETACHED HOUSE. A house that stands alone.

SEMI DETACHED HOUSE. Joined to another house on one side only by a common wall. .

TERRACED HOUSE. A house that is one of a row of identical houses situated side by side and sharing common walls.

SHACK. A roughly built hut or cabin.

MANOR. The main house on an estate (a landed property, usually of considerable size); a mansion.

IGLOO. A dome-shaped Eskimo house, typically built from blocks of solid snow.
