This document contains details for several print products and advertisements aimed at discouraging drinking and smoking. The first print ad will portray a young girl surrounded by alcohol to show the dangers of drinking, using low key lighting and a quote. The second ad will use photography to show the effects of secondhand smoke on two people, one smoking and one breathing it in. The third ad is a clock made of bottles to represent time lost to drinking using statistics and a quote. The fourth ad will show a crying woman smoking with phone numbers and statistics to promote better health. Inspiration images are also included for smoking and drinking. A radio ad script aims to slow alcohol consumption using diegetic and non-diegetic sounds to create a scenario, with
2. PRINT PRODUCT
This is one of the prints I am going to do. In this image I would like to
portray a young girl sitting near a wall surrounded by alcoholic drinks
during the night. I want to show the dangers of drinking . I am going to be
using lowkey lighting with a full body shot and a loose frame. I will make
the scene quite dull and insert a quote to highlight the dangers of what
can happen.
for example “is it worth the danger”
“think before you drink, think better health”
3. In this advert I a wanting to use my photography
skills to show the affects of second hand
smoking. I will show a mid , focused shot of two
people , one smoking and one being effected by
it. I will have one person smoking and the other
breathing it in . I want to show the importance
of second hand smoking as well as the person
smoking
I am just going to use this as a visualizer
instead of using facts and statistics.
4. This is an advertisement that is going to be shown through
a clock representing the time drinking alcohol takes off a
life span. The handles are going to be made of bottles.
I am going to use statistics in this poster with a quote and
then information underneath. This will be shown through
an establishing shot. With a bright background to make the
audience relate to the clock like it is inside a home to
represent binge drinking within a household.
5. This is the last print that I am going to be doing , I will be
highlighting a woman smoking crying , with a side head
shot. I wanted to create this idea as more of an
advertisement with information.
I will have telephone numbers and images with lots of
statistics and bright colours. I will include a slogan that
represents my brand for example “THINK BETTER
HEALTH”.
I will use bright colours and images to bring represent
positive changes and the benefits of not smoking or
reducing the rate of smoking under the age.
8. RADIO
ADVERTISEMENT
My script is suitable for the audience and the client as I
trying to slow down the rate of alcohol consumption. As I
referred back to the brief I also seen that alcohol was a
bigger need for focus than smoking. Therefore I am
aiming my radio advertisement towards that topic.
I am going to be using non diegetic and diegetic sounds
throughout my advertisements as I will be editing in
sounds of the party or the pub in between my voiceover
as well as having some muffled background effects. This
will create a scenario for the listener so that they can
imagine themselves and relate their actions to what is
happening in my advert .
I wanted to make this sort of advert so that my target
audience can understand the consequences of alcohol
consumption by using persuasive language and shock
tactics.
I also added in the link to the website so that people
know where they can access tools to better their life.
