How to knit a scarf

  • 3. One pair of 19 mm size knitting needles
  • 5.
  • 6. Knit twelve rows with the first color
  • 7. After you have reached the twelfth row, cut the yarn with scissors leaving a six inch end (unless you do not have a second color, continue knitting to the very end)
  • 8. Start knitting with the second color of yarn as you hold the cut end of yarn in addition to the six inches of the new cut yarn with your other hand
  • 9. Knit about five or six stiches then stopGetting the scarf started
  • 10.
  • 11. The same color yarn can be knitted with the new color for a couple of stiches and you will only have one end to weave after you have finished the scarf
  • 12. Next, knit twelve rows with the new yarn
  • 13. Add the third color yarn if there is one following the directions for adding the second color yarnFinishing the scarf
  • 14.
  • 15. Keep alternating colors, doing twelve rows of each, until the scarf reaches desired length
  • 16. Cast off your stiches and now you are finished!Finally..
