1) There is an "open generation gap" between the growing demand for Linux skills in the workplace and the lack of trained professionals graduating from schools.
2) This has created a "vicious circle" where employers are reluctant to adopt Linux due to the lack of supply of skilled workers, while schools are hesitant to teach Linux due to the perceived lack of demand from employers.
3) The Linux Professional Institute (LPI) aims to help break this cycle by promoting Linux education and certification across the Netherlands to increase the number of Linux professionals.
