EDUCATION GRADE/QUALITY
PROBLEMS II
The impact of an Elementary School Teacher during the early and
formative years of a child's life is significant from both an intellectual
and social development
It affecting children self-image and the ability to succees start from
elementary school to their grownup life.
Qualification Problems
• Lack of training for teacher
• Lack of teacher facilities to improve
study (no easy internet access, no
support to buy new education books)
• Lack of English ability; fyi, mostly best
tutorial, information knowledge came in
international language
• Low standard welfare makes teachers
not just focus on teaching at school as
they probably doing extra-job in their
spare time to earn a proper living
Though all the teachers graduated
from University with Bachelor of
Education title, but to keep up with
today modern innovation in children
education, they need to have
proper education training in annual
basis at least, to develop their
master skills in teaching.
IMPROVE EDUCATION
QUALITY
Training of Modern
Teaching Methods &
Tools
Training of
International
Language
Skill
Education
Support
Facility
The long term plan is to upgrade
school to match the international
standard in the next 5 years
Becoming a profit oriented school
and be able to stand on its own.
By doing so, the school will be able
to raise the welfare standard of
teachers and yet still can support
free education for students from
marginal family or parentless
students
EDUCATION SUPPORT
NEEDED
• We are looking for a direct aid from
educational institution to support free
training for these dedicated teachers
and school administrator
• Install unlimited internet access for the
school, option:
Indihome 20Mbps Paket Speedy+Phone
IDR 535,000 per month
• Support IDR 1,000,000 to buy new
education books every year
FUNDRAISING ACTIVITY
THE EFFORTS
Yos Sudarso School
Foundation Efforts
• The school foundation in 2013 had
tried to raise funds and managed to
renovate some part of the roofs
and wall painting but not enough
• The school management had sent
Aid proposal to the local city
government (Education sector) but
still waiting & not yet got any good
respond, it’s probably because this
is a private school, where most
people think all private school is
profit oriented, therefore it is not
easy to get help
Alumni SDK Yos
Sudarso
Fundraising Efforts
• Back in 2011 we hardly aware about
the situation when we first had our
Reunion, but the 30 alumni of us in just
2 days, manage to raise funds and got
IDR 15 millions to pass around to our
school teachers as personal
appreciation and bought some sports
goods and music instruments for the
children at school
• This 2015 we again got request to help
the school (letter attached next),
therefore we start to raise funds, until
today noted IDR 18,583,333.- in cash
funds raised. The numbers will be
change ..as it is ongoing
• Alumni fundraising
“Selling Alumni Tshirt”
• Personal
contributions
• Sending Proposal to
CSR companies and
other social
organizations
School Letter
This is the letter from the school
asking us for help to renovate the
school.
Reunited Team
Any direct help would be highly appreciated.
We understand so many subjects in this proposal that
need to be taking care of. To ease your way to help us,
you can address particular subject you would like to help
eq. We only available to help repairing classroom roof !

  • 34. The impact of an Elementary School Teacher during the early and formative years of a child's life is significant from both an intellectual and social development It affecting children self-image and the ability to succees start from elementary school to their grownup life.
  • 35. Qualification Problems • Lack of training for teacher • Lack of teacher facilities to improve study (no easy internet access, no support to buy new education books) • Lack of English ability; fyi, mostly best tutorial, information knowledge came in international language • Low standard welfare makes teachers not just focus on teaching at school as they probably doing extra-job in their spare time to earn a proper living Though all the teachers graduated from University with Bachelor of Education title, but to keep up with today modern innovation in children education, they need to have proper education training in annual basis at least, to develop their master skills in teaching.
  • 36. IMPROVE EDUCATION QUALITY Training of Modern Teaching Methods & Tools Training of International Language Skill Education Support Facility The long term plan is to upgrade school to match the international standard in the next 5 years Becoming a profit oriented school and be able to stand on its own. By doing so, the school will be able to raise the welfare standard of teachers and yet still can support free education for students from marginal family or parentless students
  • 37. EDUCATION SUPPORT NEEDED • We are looking for a direct aid from educational institution to support free training for these dedicated teachers and school administrator • Install unlimited internet access for the school, option: Indihome 20Mbps Paket Speedy+Phone IDR 535,000 per month • Support IDR 1,000,000 to buy new education books every year
  • 39. Yos Sudarso School Foundation Efforts • The school foundation in 2013 had tried to raise funds and managed to renovate some part of the roofs and wall painting but not enough • The school management had sent Aid proposal to the local city government (Education sector) but still waiting & not yet got any good respond, it’s probably because this is a private school, where most people think all private school is profit oriented, therefore it is not easy to get help
  • 40. Alumni SDK Yos Sudarso Fundraising Efforts • Back in 2011 we hardly aware about the situation when we first had our Reunion, but the 30 alumni of us in just 2 days, manage to raise funds and got IDR 15 millions to pass around to our school teachers as personal appreciation and bought some sports goods and music instruments for the children at school • This 2015 we again got request to help the school (letter attached next), therefore we start to raise funds, until today noted IDR 18,583,333.- in cash funds raised. The numbers will be change ..as it is ongoing • Alumni fundraising “Selling Alumni Tshirt” • Personal contributions • Sending Proposal to CSR companies and other social organizations
