Aldo Capitini
Born in Perugia in 1969 and dedicated to
Aldo Capitini (1899-1968), a famous
italian philosopher, an exponent of the
non violence movement in Italy.
It manages Capitini personal archive, a
library, and coordinates meetings and
cultural events. It is located in Biblioteca
San Matteo degli Armeni, Perugia.
The total amount of is contents is about
8000 documents.
It will provide to LoCloud a selected material from AC
personal archive:
•600 photographs
•200 notes, letters, booklets
•100 inscriptions inside AC books
200 items already sent to Europeana

Piastrelli
A cultural institution founded in Perugia in 1955 by don Luigi
Piastrelli (1883-1975), a local priest inspired by social ideals. It
promotes cultural and scientific events and manages a library,
named after Giuseppe Toniolo, containing about 10.000 books.
It will provide about 700 items to LoCloud
In particular:
• 130 political flyers coming from 1950’s
• About 500 various documents (photographs,
notes etc.)

1762
Founded in 2002 in Spello (Pg) by the publisher Feliciano Campi. It
promotes cultural activities to appraise the traditional publishing of
almanacs.
It preserves an important archive recreating the history of the
Almanacco Barbanera since the beginning of its press work, in 1762.
A selection of Barbanera ancient almanacs is in the final list for the
publication in the Memory of the world register of Unesco.
It manages a catalogue online and will provide
about 700 items to LoCloud from the ancient
almanac collection.

20. Local partners in the cloud
• Fondazione Capitini and Istituto Conestabile Piastrelli use
LoCloud Collections, S size version (up to 500MB). Fondazione
Barbanera has got its own catalogue online and uses MINT to
map metadata and publish them in MORe
• They all signed DEA and MoU and will provide to Europeana
about 2700 digital objects, 2000 of them under Public domain.
• FRS supports them with training materials and courses from
LoCloud portal
