3. Who am I?
They are covered in long
reddish brown hair. Adult males
grow cheek flaps. In Malay
Orangutan means “man of the
forest.”The female height is
about 2.6-3.5 feet and weighs
110 pounds.the male is 3.2-4.5
feet weighs 200 pounds.

4. The Early Years
The orangutans stay with
their mothers until five years
but they leave at age 10-12.

5. Habitat sweet habitat
Only 2,000 orangutans
remain in Sabah, about
1,000 in Kalimantan
and more in other
areas. Orangutans live
in the tropical rain
forest. They like to stay
on the branches. The
babies stay with their
mothers in her arms.

6. Whats on menu
Orangutans love
bananas. They can
eat them all
day.they also eat
bugs and other fruit.

7. Making Tracks
Their tracks look like
human hands on the
ground.

8. Simply Irresistable
The orangutans stay
in the canopy or the
top of the forest.
Orangutans are
daredevils like the
gibbons.
Orangutans sleep in
the beds that they
make themselves.

9. Where in the World
Most of the
orangutans live in
Sabha and
Kalimantan. They
do still live in other
places too.
