My favorite animal is
a monkey, but I felt
like doing a

we read a book on
orangutans in 3rd
grade and I was
interested in them. I
love to ride bike and
eat pizza with the
neighbors.
3. Who Am I
Orangutans have red
brownish hair on
their bodies. Females
weigh about 110
pounds and a male
weighs about 200
pounds. Females are
about 3 feet tall and
males are about 4
feet.
4. Early Years
Baby orangutans
stay with their
mothers until they
are 6 years old and
have babies when
they are 10 to 12
years old. Baby
orangutans are bald
until they are about
3 years old.
5. Habitat Sweet Habitat
Orangutans live in
the rainforest in
trees and like to
sleep in nests and
walk on the
ground and like
climbing trees.
6. What’s on the Menu
Orangutans eat
fruit,leaves,tree
bark ,seeds,plant
bulbs,tender plant
shoots,and
flowers.They also
eats smaller
animals like birds.
7. Making Tracks
Orangutans have
five toes just like
us and have large
wide feet are
about the size of
a can of chips.

Baby orangutans
can weigh over
10 pounds when
they are born!
The orangutans
main enemy is
man people catch
these animals and
sell them and that
is illegal.

Orangutans are
found in Asia in the
tropical rainforests
They live in the
southeast of of
Asia.They sleep in a
thing called a nest
,but not a bird nest
orangutans pile up
leaves in a tree and
sleep in them.
