In what ways does your media product use,
develop or challenge forms and conventions of
real media products?

• Ethnic minority groups- my magazine is aimed at anyone, no
matter what ethnicity and culture.
• Sexuality- for all sexual orientations
• Class and status- the music in my magazine is all current and
the language plain and simple so that all classes can
understand it. However there is some bad language featured
in the magazine meaning that upper classes might be put off
buying it.
• Gender- Unisex

What kind of media institution might
distribute your media product and why?
Because my music magazine focuses on current music in the
charts I want it to be distributed on a mass scale, therefore I
am looking for a distributer that has a good representation
and will be able to make my magazine a national and
possibly global success.
I have researched two different distributors and will be picking
one that will be most suited for distributing my magazine.

• It is the largest distributor of UK magazines internationally,
exporting to 90 countries.

finding about their favourite artists life and habits. The
attractive models and artists featured in the magazine will
draw this type of audience in and the simple yet fun
language will also help this too.
