- I spent two years at Wright State studying English then switching to Psychology. I had taken an Abnormal Psychology class and fell in love with Psychology. I find the mind so intriguing that I want to know everything about the mind. I find so many topics in Psychology that spark my interest that I cannot decide where to start. I have thought about dealing with substance abuse patients, becoming a relationship counselor, as well as helping children. Going into research is also an idea that has crossed my mind on a few occasions. I plan on pursuing a career after I receive my Bachelor’s in Psychology. I have found a few jobs that sounded as though they were right up my alley. I would like to become a case worker, a child protections worker, drug/substance abuse counselor, an employment counselor, or even a rehabilitation advisor. I know I want to work in some part of the health care section of Psychology. My plans are to find one of these careers and possibly pursuit graduate school in a few years. Going to graduate school would open me up to more career possibilities such as becoming a Clinical Psychologist. Finding one of these entry-level careers will also give me plenty of experience to pursuit better jobs in the field. Any of these careers would allow me to be helping those in need and I believe I would be very happy in any of them. I also want to publish a book in my lifetime. My other passion is writing and I want to write a novel that many will enjoy. It would be fantastic if I was to write the next big hit series but I would be satisfied with just publishing one book. I would also like to get kids more interested in reading. Sadly, many kids only read they have to and do not know the joys of reading. I would like to change that because reading can really transport one to another place and time. It is really quite magical. I have so many goals in my life to strive to achieve. I do not want to meet one and be on my merry way. I want to have many outfits in my closet of life. I hope to be an author, a chef, a counselor, a mother, a wife, and friend to many. I want to inspire others to dream big and that nothing is impossible. Most of all, I want to show everyone that a little support goes a long way and that most kids only need that one person to believe in them in order to make miracles happen. I, like everyone else in the world, have the potential for greatness. I hope to use this potential to truly do some good in the world.
