This document provides the syllabus for a 3 credit, 15 week course titled "The Power of Thinking in the 21st Century" taught in fall 2013. The course will be taught in both online and face-to-face formats on alternating Wednesdays from 6-8:45pm. Topics that will be covered include 21st century skills, critical thinking, creativity, communication, ethics, leadership, and concluding with 21st century skills. Required readings include the book "Cornerstones" and select chapters from "Half the Sky". Assignments include discussion boards, quizzes, papers, and a final ePortfolio. The last two weeks are dedicated to group presentations on global issues.
