1. YVES SIMONEAU BIOGRAPHY
Born October 28, 1955 in Quebec City, Quebec, Yves Simoneau is an award-winning director
and scriptwriter whose work includes: Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee”, “Nuremberg”,
“Marie-Antoinette”, “Napoleon”, “Les Fous de Bassan” amongst others.
Yves was the director of the mini-series Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee, based on the book
and the events that inspired it. It received 17 Emmy nominations, the most of any show at the
59th Emmy Awards held in September of 2007. It went on to win five awards including the
Emmy for „Outstanding Made For Television Movie‟ which also resulted in him winning his
first Directors Guild of America.
