Queen Victoria chose to wear white when marrying Prince Albert. She was not the first royal bride to wear white but the first of the modern era. previously brides would wear the best of the most expensive new clothes they could afford.\n
Previously, United Kingdom brides bought a special dress that could be worn another time as an evening gown. The same case occurred to American brides as well.\n
Formal weddings wore desired by mothers of the brides after world war I. this was the case for mothers who did not have a permanent social secretary. a wedding planner would then be hired who then could coordinate the printer, florist, caterer, and seamstress.\n
Marriage officiant: minister, priest, rabbi, or imam\nbest man: close male friend or relative of groom\nmaid of honor: close female friend or relative of bride\nfather of bride: symboilically “gives away” the bride\ngroomsmen: one or more close male attendants \nbridesmaids: one or more close female attendants \nflower girl: young girl who scatters flowers in front of the bridal party\nring bearer: young by who carries the wedding rings\nushers: helpers who assist with the organization\n
The brides and grooms separate sides to show which family belongs to who. The guests/close friends are seated the same way.\n
In every wedding there is a traditional order when the bridal parties come out.\n
After this order, the bride will walk down the isle escorted by her father to music, after the ceremony is finished guests throw out flower petals, confetti, birdseed, or rice.\n
After the events taken for the ceremony, the events shift to the reception. Toasts or speeches are give in honor of the couple. In some cases the bride and grooms’ maid of honor and best man make the speech. the first dance by the couple is usually danced to their favorite love song.\n
A big tradition at the reception is the outting of the wedding cake. The newly weds would cut our two pieces of cake togheter for one another and then feed it to one another.\n
Bride will throw her bouquet of flowers from behind to all single women. The women who catches it, will have luck in getting married next. The groom throws his garter the same way and then the single man that catches that is supposed to put it on the woman who aught the bouquets leg.\n
Wedding planners can take advantage of discounts available to the trade only. A good planner can help save a lot of time, money, and effort for the bride.\n
Wedding planners basically do the walking and talking for their client. Instead of having the client visit photographers, musicians, caterers, and vendors, the planner take care of that for them.\n
Wedding planners have a lot of responsibilities. They need to keep track of all of the dates and deadlines. Also a good wedding planner needs to visit the reception cite and all of the people she hired for the wedding. To stay on the client’s budget, the planner must be good with finances and complete all balances on time.\n
Wedding favors, place cards, and center pieces must all be in the right places and make sure that every one attending the wedding is getting what they should be getting. (Flowers, favors, name tag at table.etc)\n
Managing your own business comes with many responsibilities. A business license and business card need to be purchased in order for your own personal business to be applicable. ALL wedding planners must go through a training course to make sure they know every detail about weddings so they can benefit their client to the fullest. Creating a website will help advertise and show others what you have to offer.\n
To be a successful wedding planner, you must be extremely patient and calm with the client. If something goes wrong, stay calm, and fix it as soon as possible. To get a secure client, give and get the best service for the lowest prices as possible to stay on THEIR budget. Staying under or right on budget is the most difficult thing about planning a wedding. The bride wants everything to be expensive and perfect, but it is possible to find very similar or the same things they want a whole lot cheaper. It is beneficial for the planner to stay organized and keep all of the wedding portfolio together.\n
2.3 million couples wed every year in the US; 6200 a day. An average age of a bride in US is 25 and groom 27\n72 billion dolalrs spent a year on weddings\nJUne & September are the most popular months of marriage\n
The wedding industry is a very rich industry even though it seems small. Traditionally a honeymoon is held in a tropical warm place away from home to celebrate being wed!\n
