6. Create Product Family:
Click Product Structure ->
Create Product Structure
from the NWBC Menu
Choose Node Type
“Product Family”
Enter Node:
LINUX_SERVER
Enter Class: PSS_DEMO
and click Continue

7. Product Variant:
Product Variant is a sub set of product family and describes a product of
this family
A Product Family has one or more Product Variants associated with it
Product variants are finished product materials, and they provide a direct
reference to the product

8. Create Product Variant:
Open Change
Product Structure
Screen, go to tab
Product Variant
Enter Product
Variant and
Description
Click Save

9. Assign Material To Product Variant:
Go to Product Variants tab, enter a material in the Material field
Click Check Entries
Click Save

10. Product Item:
Product item defines the components that are used to build up a product
Product Item is used to perform the following activities,
• To define the structure of the product you want to document
• object dependencies and components are specified at this level
• To add Product Item Variants

11. Create Product Item
Choose Node Type:
Product Item
Enter Node: LX_CASE
Enter Class: PSS_DEMO
Click Continue.
Go to “Where Used” tab
and enter
LINUX_SERVER under
Node field and SAVE
