- 3. © Nikolaos Floratos, Fundingexpert.academy What is EUROPE 2020 • The European Union’s ten-year jobs and growth strategy • Launched in 2010 • Five targets for EU to achieve by 2020 – 75% of the populaAon aged 20-64 should be employed (employment) – 3% of the EU’s GDP should be invested in R&D (research & development) – 20/20/20 target, i.e. Greenhouse gas emissions reduced by 20%, energy needs covered by 20% from renewables, Energy efficiency by 20% -compared to 1990 (climate/energy) – Early school leavers <10% and min 40% should have a higher educaAon degree (educa*on/Social inclusion) – Poor people should be reduced by 20 million - compared to 1990 (poverty/ social inclusion) • EU Budget the main mechanism for suppor*ng the Europe 2020 strategy 3

- 33. © Nikolaos Floratos, Fundingexpert.academy Follow up AcAvity At the end of each day self-check the status of your B.U.N.D.L.E.R. habits, i.e. Ask yourself the following and if you are not saAsfied with your answers, work harder unAl it becomes a habit! ü Have you been busy with things that are meant to last today? ü Have you upset the status quo today? ü Have you eaten with another person at your work today? ü Have you delegated things today? ü Have you prepared something great today? ü Have you done things outside your daily rouAne that make you more effecAve? ü Have you learned anything today from your mistakes or from mistakes of others?
