SASS
I am a recent graduate from the University of Cincinnati, in Cincinnati, Ohio. My
focus was fashion design, specifically product development and merchandising,
but I have varying interests across other design fields including trend forecasting
and graphic design. I have a passion for travel and have lived in Israel, London,
and Athens, Greece; I have also visited Paris, France; Luxembourg, Bali, and
Poland; various Canadian provinces and Cancun, Mexico. I have a thirst for
knowledge and learned design techniques from friends in Industrial Design and
Digital Design. My hobbies include photography, running, cycling, crossword
puzzles, and costuming for community theater.
4. s o r t -ed
Sort-ed was my senior thesis. I created sort-ed as a
line of backpacks as organizational learning tools
for elementary school children with AD/HD. These
backpacks will allow children the opportunity to
create a unique system that will help teach them how
to organize their school supplies and maintain those
organization techniques throughout the school year.

J Dear Jenny was my most recent brand book spurred by
the antithesis of computer-aided social networking. Dear
Jenny was a creative line of graphic t-shirts inspired by
cultural themes such as travel and pop-cults as well as
human emotions and a general curiosity to learn about
others by asking diverting questions. Dear Jenny hopes to
encourage the redevelopment of interpersonal social skills.

11. I spent the last two co-op quarters at Crye Precision
assisting with the design and development of military
combat and field apparel and gear. There I learned
to pattern using Gerber Accumark. I designed and
produced two messenger bags.

14. This Brand Book was designed for my CAD class. The
focus of this course was to learn textile design techniques
with Lectra’s Kaledo Print, Knit, and Weave program.
This collection was designed for the Autumn/Winter
2011 season for young men inspired by cowboys. I
chose cowboys because, for them, it’s all about getting
down and dirty, competing against each other, taking
risks, adventure, jumping in, and giving it all you’ve got.
18. Frame Yourself was the product of our New
Identity project. We designed and produced a
product for sale in Cincinnati’s local boutique,
MiCA 12/V. I created a series of six, one-of-a-
kind mirrors. Each mirror has a unique, original
design that has been laser cut into cherry wood.

21. This was my first Brand Book. This course
culminated with a lesson in fashion photography
techniques. The final project was to create a brand
and develop a corresponding clothing line. We
had to represent it using sketches, technical flats,
and the photographs we took during the course.
