3. INTRO
The technologies in which I have used in order to create and
construct my media product have helped to make it
successful and able to complete. There was a number of
technologies used throughout the course of completing my
opening sequence, which included the pre-production of the
project, along with the actual production and post
production.

4. BLOGGER
One of the main technologies I have used throughout the
course of constructing my media product is blogger. When
first starting with blogger it allowed me to document all my
research on existing films and videos which lead onto me
thinking about types of film language and the types of
conventions within films that made them either good or bad.
This helped me to know what made a good opening scene
that caught the audiences attention and what didn’t work so
well so I could use this with my media product.
Blogger was also a great technology that helped me to track
my own progress of film language through being able to
upload preliminary tasks and go back to see what I could
improve of in my main task. Lastly blogger was a useful
technology due to it being helpful and when planning and
keeping to time schedules to meet deadlines.

5. YOUTUBE
The main website in which I used in order to get access to
videos throughout my production was YouTube. YouTube
allowed me to view opening sequences of lots of different
types of films which helped me and my group to decide of
the type of genre we wanted to use and helped give us ideas
of what we could base it on. YouTube videos also helped me
to distinguish between what was an opening sequence and
what was a film trailer. This was helpful as it ensured me and
my group were on the right lines of our production.

6. SOUND
Throughout the pre-production I learnt that sound is a crucial
part of any film so as a group we really wanted to get this
right. In order to get this right we had to decide as a group
what soundtrack would be best to fit with what our opening
scene was about and had to ensure the soundtrack we
decided to use wasn’t copyrighted as this was stated clearly
in the brief. A website that was helpful to get sound affects
was SoundBible, this allowed my group to collect sound
affects for the crash and bangs within my opening scene to
make it seem more lifelike. Another website was YouTube
again in which my group searched for soundtracks
appropriate for the theme of our product.

7. USE OF CAMERA
In order for us to film our opening scene we had to find a
technology capable of doing this. It was important our group
choose the right technology as quality of film and sound was
important to us as a group. We used a regular digital camera
which we were able to record on.
