Geography is the study of the physical features of the Earth and how humans interact with and impact the environment. There are five core themes of geography: [1] location, which describes where places are; [2] place, which examines the characteristics of locations; [3] human-environment interaction, or how humans and the environment influence each other; [4] movement, how people and goods move between locations; and [5] regions, areas defined by common characteristics.
