LACE DRESSES
Which one of you brides has always wanted and dreamt of having a lace dress? This blog post is
going to inform you on everything you need to know about finding your perfect lace dress. All
fabrics that wedding dresses use are all beautiful, but none of them come close to how romantic and
historical lace is.
Back in history, when a bride would wear lace at her wedding, this demonstrated the wealth of your
family and prosperity. It would tell everyone that you came from a wealthy family and that you
could afford to get married in a lace wedding dress. Things have changed since then, and that is not
what people think of when they attend a wedding. Now you see more lace on a dining room table
or in the house, but you do not see...show more content...
If you don't want to get a long dress with a cathedral train, then don't. Do what you want to do
because when it comes down to it, this day will be all about you. If you have always pictured
yourself in a short, playful wedding dress, then try and find what you have always envisioned. Trust
me, there are some short wedding dresses that are to die for, you may just have to look a little bit
harder. Some of the reasons why brides may choose a short wedding dress over a long and
traditional dress is if the wedding is more informal, on a beach, at a court house, a summer/spring
wedding, or even if the bride just wants to be different!
Short wedding dresses are also becoming very popular for brides that want to have two different
dresses for their big day. They will a formal and elegant dress for their ceremony and then at some
point during their reception, they will switch into a more playful and sexy short dress.

English Gcse Media Essay
English GCSE Media Coursework 1. How does advertising reinforce gender stereotypes? Today in
the late 1990’s we can not escape advertising it bombards us from all types of media and
every aspect of our lives. It is a multibillion–pound industry that stereotypes genders and tells us
what we could become if we use certain products. Men being portrayed as cool, tough, athletic and
stylish reinforce the gender stereotypes. One advert I have studied which reinforces the male
stereotype is an advertisement for ‘Old Spice, White Water’. The advertisement
shows a businessman in a kyak kyacking down a white water rapid. This is stereotyping the male
businessman by showing him as an adventurous and carefree person who...show more content...
In an advert for a female perfume by “Givenchy” a woman is shown who holds the
materialistic characteristics. This is not how it really is in society. Not every woman has
prominent curves, is slim and tall. This shows how advertisements do not fairly reflect society.
The same is true for an advert from a weekday newspaper advertising “DFS”. A
male with similar qualities to above is sitting on a sofa reading a paper. Again this shows a
materialistic world which is not a true reflection of society. Both of these adverts only have one
person in and this means that representing the whole of society could be difficult. I believe that
advertisements do there best at reflecting society, but that is still nowhere near what society really
is like. There never will be an advertisement that reflects the whole of society and they have a long
way to go before they even get

GCSE Case Study
If the students have failed their GCSE resits as 77% of them do (Wolf, 2011), the students also
have to take another vocational course in order to retake their GCSEs. As there is no Government
funding available to take GCSE as a stand alone qualification and most students cannot pay for it
themselves or do not want to take out a student loan in order to study, this forces students to take
courses that they are not necessarily interested in, just so that they can retake their GCSEs. This
obviously has an impact on the vocational classes in which they enrol.
I believe a major struggle for the current level 2 learners was being unsure of the entry
requirements are for level 3 in childcare. The criteria last year was Maths and English GCSE...show
more content...
They are confident that they can achieve this level as they have done so before. This gives them
experience in different subjects and settings, but does not move them on to the next stage, For
example, we have five childcare students who have completed their introduction to early years
level 2, but cannot move onto level 3 in childcare due to their poor GCSE results; so they have
therefore applied for Health and Social Care level 2. This would give them experience in youth
work and adult care and some additional experience in special needs work, but as they want to
work with children some of this knowledge, although interesting, is not relevant to their chosen
career. However, although they can retake their GCSEs again whilst undertaking the course, in the
hope that they will pass the GCSE with a grade C the next time they take it and can then get onto a
level 3 qualification. Of course, this means that very often the learner has run out of funding and
cannot take a level 3 course because they spent two or three years trying to achieve their Maths or
English GCSE at grade C.
The students who take qualifications at the same level as before face another year of not being in the
workforce earning money, potentially frustrated by repetition.

GCSE Personal Statement
With GCSE Business, I felt I had finally found a subject I had an affinity with. It brought into
perspective my natural sense of organisation from an early age and a certain business awareness
managing a pocket money budget with an ever changing wish list. Studying this subject through to A
Level has given me the opportunity to further develop business and management skills leaving me
eager to apply them to the commercial world. As Maslow, the motivation theorist said "If you
plan on being anything less than you are capable of being, you will probably be unhappy all the
days of your life". My passion for this subject is what is driving me to pursue it at University with
the ultimate goal of having a successful career in this field.
As part of my A level Applied Business coursework I have discovered what makes an effective
business plan, examining the struggles new businesses face and considering ways in which to
overcome them. Developing these analytical and problem solving skills is...show more content...
This has allowed me to become a role model for younger students. By having to take on additional
responsibilities, whilst preventing them from interfering with my academic studies, I have been
able to develop invaluable time management skills. As part of my Duke of Edinburgh Silver
Award, I secured a volunteer position at Daventry Library. Interacting with the public in a customer
service role helped me to develop communication and problem solving skills, both of which will be
useful to University life, in group work and tutorials. After 6 months they offered me paid part–time
employment, giving me an introduction to the world of work and a first–hand understanding of
salaries and tax whilst working in an ever changing environment. In 2017, I will be travelling to
Ghana to volunteer, necessitating successful fundraising activities in order to cover the costs of the
trip, an experience which will help to develop my enterprise

At GCSE level I studied Physical education in which I received 2 GCSE's as I did 2 courses in 2
years. This was accomplished due to my devotion to the subject and hard work which allowed me
to achieve A*'s in the practical parts of the course. However, the physical education theory is the
area of the course that particularly feeds my hunger to learn every aspect of physical education, as it
gives me more potential to be the best teacher possible. Understanding how the body can complement
exercise through nutrition to reach maximum capabilities within the sport as well as living a healthy

Gcse Musical Form
Rhythm
Rhythm is best described as the musical organization of sounds. The beat, meter and tempo help
when describing rhythm.
Beat: piano emphasizes on one and the and of two throughout the song.
Meter: 4/4 (quadruple meter)
Tempo: moderately slow
The tempo is consistently fairly slow throughout Hello by Adele and it is in a quadruple meter. The
piano emphasized the downbeat of each measure and the and of two. The rhythm of the song helps
with the effect of the song which is supposed to be a sad song

The homophonic texture is what most popular music today is described as. There is a prominent
person, maybe a lead singer, and a background. Even without the background, there may still be a
song. The piano, drum set, background singers, string instruments, guitar, bass guitar and the toms
add to the song because they add their own dynamic to it. They all play a crucial and different role
in the song as well.
The overall effect of the song, Hello, by Adele is effective in communicating the message of the
song. Each section that I talked about above gives unique qualities to the song that make people
interested and like the song. I like how throughout the song, it builds more and more slowly by
adding instruments or even just instruments playing louder dynamics as the song builds. I also like
how the song is not overly complicated and there is not too much going on instrumental

racism speech Essay
For centuries a disease has plagued our nation just like AIDS has Africa, I bet you all are
wondering what this disease is. You probably think that it can be treated with limited breakouts
every few years. The virus I'm talking about is racism. Imagine living every day in fear knowing
that where ever you go, everything you do is being observed and judged. Imagine walking into a
store or a boutique and having someone watch every move of yours thinking that you're going to
steal something, or expose a bomb from under your clothes. Imagine being mocked and hated at
school because you're "different". Imagine being left out because of your skin colour. No one
enjoys being left out, but then, why do people judge? Why do people set a fire of...show more

The employee made sure that nothing had been stolen from the shelfs that he walked past by.
I believe that racism should be stopped because racism can result in acts of physical abuse and
violence. People get mentally and physically hurt by people who are being racist. For example
there was a refugee who was beaten by a racist guy in Wollongong for doing absolutely nothing; he
was punched multiple times before being robbed. The refugee, who had arrived in Australia from
his native Eritrea only five days earlier, required stitches in his left ear and lost a tooth in the ordeal,
this isn't normal in any way. People who get mentally hurt by racist actions can do strange things.
They can start to become racist themselves, or even commit suicide, which is an awful thing.
Racism not only leads to social problems but it also causes mental illness and violence for example,
self–harm, depression and the harming of others. In most cases the victim starts to feel helpless,
isolated, depressed and irritated. Experiencing racism can change a victim's life forever. Nearly
half of all Australian residents from a diverse background have experienced racism at some time in
their life. WHY? Only because they look different? On a Wednesday afternoon a well–dressed 54
year woman in a mustard jacket unleashed a lecture of abuse at other passengers on a Sydney to
Newcastle train, it started because some young kids aged between four and ten didn't automatically
give up their seats

GCSE Reflective Essay
Good evening Donit Dassa,
I am slightly taken aback by your comment: "I did not think it was of a high enough standard for us
to be able to accept you on the Access course."
Was my assessment result not high enough for the Access Course or is it just your sole opinion that
it wasn't?
I am concerned. Although I was suffering from a debilitating migraine, I did answer all the
English part of the assessment and showed all my workings in the Maths part. The algebra was
my main let down. GCSE students are now preparing for their final exams. It is a very stressful
time for all of us. I am shocked at being told that my Access to Higher Education assessment did not
meet the English and Maths Level 2 since I am a student for GCSE Higher English

I have chosen a business related course as I have been interested in this field from GCSE level & I
believe that I have the qualities to forge a successful career in this area. I have been inspired to
fulfil this path by my Uncle, a director at a successful company in England
I feel I am a good motivator and I enjoy travelling which I believe are integral factors of business at
the highest level
I participated in work experience at Haldane Fisher Ltd, a local building supplies firm that not only
operates in my home town but also has key branches throughout Northern Ireland, and they also
deliver goods throughout Ireland. I spent a very interesting week there where I gained valuable
experience. I was fortunate to be present while the company...show more content...
Also in the summer of 2002 I worked full–time for the month of July in a warehouse in. This really
taught me the value of a day and what can be achieved in 8 working hours. My overall experience
in the workplace has taught me the value of earning your own money and it has driven me to study
hard now while I'm young so that I may reap the rewards in later life
I have an avid interest in sports although I am mainly interested in two. I have played Gaelic
football for Newry Mitchels G.F.C from I was 9 years old. Although I have not experienced much
success I have made many friends and learned a lot about teamwork and self–discipline. I also play
Basketball for my school team. This has proved rewarding as we won the All–Ireland schools
Basketball league last year. We trained very hard for this and it taught us that those who work hard
are rewarded eventually
I have also attended the Donegal Gaeltacht for four years where I studied Irish at a summer
college for three weeks at a time. Last year I achieved "Gold Fainne" status in the spoken language.
I have also met people from all around the country with whom I still keep in contact. I hope to
return next year to supervise a course of younger students. I am currently studying Economics,

GCSE Application Essay
After choosing to study Business Studies as one of my GCSE options as a bit of a random choice,
I quickly fell in love with the subject. I really love the enjoyment of learning about what goes into
running a business behind closed doors and what goes on within all the different functions operating
within a business.
Since accidently falling in love with Business, my involvement and interest in the operations of a
business has always been present; Setting up and managing a business under the Young Enterprise
scheme, partaking in market research for a local vineyard as well as completing work experience
within two different companies. Business, especially within the retail sector, is such a major part of
the economy as business underpins everything....show more content...
My team created unique mugs which consisted of a well–loved local landmark and a haiku style
poem. By taking on the role of managing director I was in charge of ensuring that my team knew
what they were doing and by co–ordinating tasks. By studying business at GCSE and at A–level it
allowed me to apply the theory learnt in the classroom in the real operation of a business. There
were many ups and downs along the way. One of the ups was winning the Brighton and Lewes area
finals and progressing into the Sussex finals where we went on to win another 3 awards. In
competing in the competitions I gained so much confidence from presenting in front of an audience
of 100 people consisting of many business owners – something which I never thought I would be
able to do! However, as there is in every business, there were some downs too, with issues arising
in relation to raising finance and meeting tight deadlines consequently meaning I was required to
think outside the box and solve any problems that we were faced. This ensured that the business ran
as efficiently as possible. Through doing this I gained many valuable transferable skills such as
leadership and excellent time

As part of my A level Applied Business coursework I have discovered what makes an effective business plan, examining the struggles new businesses face and considering ways in which to overcome them. As part of my Duke of Edinburgh Silver Award, I secured a volunteer position at Daventry Library. Interacting with the public in a customer service role helped me to develop communication and problem solving skills, both of which will be useful to University life, in group work and tutorials. After 6 months they offered me paid part–time employment, giving me an introduction to the world of work and a first–hand understanding of salaries and tax whilst working in an ever changing environment. • 5. Reflection Paper Gcse At GCSE level I studied Physical education in which I received 2 GCSE's as I did 2 courses in 2 years. This was accomplished due to my devotion to the subject and hard work which allowed me to achieve A*'s in the practical parts of the course. However, the physical education theory is the area of the course that particularly feeds my hunger to learn every aspect of physical education, as it gives me more potential to be the best teacher possible. Beat: piano emphasizes on one and the and of two throughout the song. Meter: 4/4 (quadruple meter) Tempo: moderately slow The tempo is consistently fairly slow throughout Hello by Adele and it is in a quadruple meter. The piano emphasized the downbeat of each measure and the and of two. The rhythm of the song helps with the effect of the song which is supposed to be a sad song Musical form Musical form is the way in which a piece of music is structured. Homophonic o Adele – lead singer o Piano, drum set, background singers, strings, guitar, bass guitar, toms The homophonic texture is what most popular music today is described as. There is a prominent person, maybe a lead singer, and a background. Even without the background, there may still be a song. The piano, drum set, background singers, string instruments, guitar, bass guitar and the toms add to the song because they add their own dynamic to it. They all play a crucial and different role in the song as well. The overall effect of the song, Hello, by Adele is effective in communicating the message of the song. Each section that I talked about above gives unique qualities to the song that make people interested and like the song. I like how throughout the song, it builds more and more slowly by adding instruments or even just instruments playing louder dynamics as the song builds. I also like how the song is not overly complicated and there is not too much going on instrumental Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 7. racism speech Essay For centuries a disease has plagued our nation just like AIDS has Africa, I bet you all are wondering what this disease is. You probably think that it can be treated with limited breakouts every few years. The virus I'm talking about is racism. Imagine living every day in fear knowing that where ever you go, everything you do is being observed and judged. Imagine walking into a store or a boutique and having someone watch every move of yours thinking that you're going to steal something, or expose a bomb from under your clothes. Imagine being mocked and hated at school because you're "different". Imagine being left out because of your skin colour. No one enjoys being left out, but then, why do people judge? Why do people set a fire of...show more content... The employee made sure that nothing had been stolen from the shelfs that he walked past by. I believe that racism should be stopped because racism can result in acts of physical abuse and violence. People get mentally and physically hurt by people who are being racist. For example there was a refugee who was beaten by a racist guy in Wollongong for doing absolutely nothing; he was punched multiple times before being robbed. The refugee, who had arrived in Australia from his native Eritrea only five days earlier, required stitches in his left ear and lost a tooth in the ordeal, this isn't normal in any way. People who get mentally hurt by racist actions can do strange things. They can start to become racist themselves, or even commit suicide, which is an awful thing. Racism not only leads to social problems but it also causes mental illness and violence for example, self–harm, depression and the harming of others. In most cases the victim starts to feel helpless, isolated, depressed and irritated. Experiencing racism can change a victim's life forever. Nearly half of all Australian residents from a diverse background have experienced racism at some time in their life. WHY? Only because they look different? On a Wednesday afternoon a well–dressed 54 year woman in a mustard jacket unleashed a lecture of abuse at other passengers on a Sydney to Newcastle train, it started because some young kids aged between four and ten didn't automatically give up their seats Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 8. GCSE Reflective Essay Good evening Donit Dassa, I am slightly taken aback by your comment: "I did not think it was of a high enough standard for us to be able to accept you on the Access course." Was my assessment result not high enough for the Access Course or is it just your sole opinion that it wasn't? I am concerned. Although I was suffering from a debilitating migraine, I did answer all the English part of the assessment and showed all my workings in the Maths part. The algebra was my main let down. GCSE students are now preparing for their final exams. It is a very stressful time for all of us. I am shocked at being told that my Access to Higher Education assessment did not meet the English and Maths Level 2 since I am a student for GCSE Higher English Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 10. GCSE Application Essay After choosing to study Business Studies as one of my GCSE options as a bit of a random choice, I quickly fell in love with the subject. I really love the enjoyment of learning about what goes into running a business behind closed doors and what goes on within all the different functions operating within a business. Since accidently falling in love with Business, my involvement and interest in the operations of a business has always been present; Setting up and managing a business under the Young Enterprise scheme, partaking in market research for a local vineyard as well as completing work experience within two different companies. My team created unique mugs which consisted of a well–loved local landmark and a haiku style poem. By taking on the role of managing director I was in charge of ensuring that my team knew what they were doing and by co–ordinating tasks. By studying business at GCSE and at A–level it allowed me to apply the theory learnt in the classroom in the real operation of a business. There were many ups and downs along the way. One of the ups was winning the Brighton and Lewes area finals and progressing into the Sussex finals where we went on to win another 3 awards. In competing in the competitions I gained so much confidence from presenting in front of an audience of 100 people consisting of many business owners – something which I never thought I would be able to do! However, as there is in every business, there were some downs too, with issues arising in relation to raising finance and meeting tight deadlines consequently meaning I was required to think outside the box and solve any problems that we were faced. This ensured that the business ran as efficiently as possible. Through doing this I gained many valuable transferable skills such as leadership and excellent time Get more content on HelpWriting.net
