1. Magazine Pitch

2. Genre of music my magazine is going to be on . I want my magazine to be on pop music new music in which has been released in the charts., I want my magazine to have a variety of music though so it fits a broader audience.

3. Colour Scheme Im going to stick to three colours throughout my magazine as this is common after looking at different magazines. Blue GreyPink GreyPeach White Red White Black

4. Examples of style’s im looking to follow. The layout of this page I think is effective, is uses a larger image on the opposite page, and a interview on the other. I am going to include a interview on my double page spread, as I think this this is what young people are interested in finding out about the stars lifestyle, what they get up too. I like the style of this contents page as its separated in columns, this gives it a structured look. It also states contents page at the top as well. This is a close up shot of the artists face, which I intend to have on the front cover of my magazine, I think it looks personal to the audience.

5. Page Content. Front cover I want the front cover to be eye catching, and stand out amongst others . Having done my research, looking at the covers which I found more effect were the ones which have a close up of the artists rather than a full body shot. I also want to have different text styles to make it more interesting, but not so different that it doesn’t go as I want to give my magazine continuity. Contents. I intend to have all the cover stories relating to pages in the magazine for easy access. Also have a photograph of a solo artist and maybe images that relate to music such as different technology ipod’s etc. Double page spread. My double page spread is going to be an interview with a girl band. One of the pages will be of the girl band, maybe will a quote at the bottom of the page, or across them on a photograph.

6. Target Audience. For my magazine I intend to aim it at young people 16-21. This age range, as I think they may read more music magazines, because they like to keep in with the new music, up and coming artists etc. The kind of institute I want to distribute my magazine would be EMAP as they distribute popular music magazines and other popular media products. One of the magazines that they distribute is the well known‘Q the music magazine’.
