1. Intermediate I, profe Esperanza
Soul in danger of extinction
Once upon a time, a long, long time ago, there was a man in Austria who had a zoo. It was the
most important zoo all around the world. But there was a bit of a problem… they had unique
animals, but they also were in danger of extinction! The owner illegally, brought those animals
from other countries. They had small animals such as Siberian tigers, giant otters, Nile
crocodiles, Iberian Imperial eagles, sea turtles, mountain gorillas, scarlet macaws and
Tasmanian wolves. However, he was an important and respected man in Austria so no one
even dared to try to stop him because everyone was afraid of him.
But luckily one day a good cop appeared. He was strong, loyal, and great! And most important
of all, he was not afraid of anything! So, he decided to gather a small group of brave men from
other countries to try to stop him. Unfortunately, no one accepted because they were scared at
the owner of the zoo. Then, the cop decided to do his way, on his way, all alone, himself against
The Owner.
He went to the zoo and firstly he tried to talk him over to stop stealing animals but The Owner
did not care at all and he started fighting. Anything good resulted from that. The cop ended up
badly injured… So for years and years environmentalists demonstrated against him and the zoo.
But they could not do anything at all as well.
No one has ever known why but one day The Owner realized he was wrong about his course of
action and decided to release all the imprisoned animals and even sent them back to their
countries of origin.
No one knows why did he did so but it is said they soul of all animals in the world united in one
threatened him to death and warned him about a life in hell if he continued doing what he was
doing.
Nowadays The Owner even gives conferences on how to save the planet… and how we should
protect animals in danger of extinction.
