6.  It’s about a girl who has been controlled and over powered by
her father.
 She has been living unable to be herself and her father never
let her be herself “You never did let learn to let little people grow”
“You did always say that I was going places, and that you wouldn’t have
it any other way”
 The lyrics initiate a death and a loss “I’d be sad that I never held
your hand as you were lowered”
 So our narrative is about the struggles between a father and
daughter and now with the passing of the father, ‘Laura’ can
now truly be herself “I’m Laura now” and now she can let go
of the control of her father.
OUR INITIAL IDEAS

7.  Lyrics, really create an emotional
response, giving great opportunity for
imagery and a powerful narrative
 Indie/folk song, with a genre we can
follow, with enough space for our own
creativity.
 Personal song as it is in first person
 Continuous 3 chord guitar throughout to
follow and cut our shots on, with a subtle
drum beat towards end to build up more
faster cutting.
WHY THIS SONG?

 Possible locations include, Jesmond
Dene forest and bridge areas. Holywell
Dene and open field areas.
 Walking through all these areas to
show the journey of the song.

scene, each person is responsible for one area (Lara:Make-
Up, Gabe:Location, Sam:Cotsume Mel:Props)
As well as having group posts together about progress throughout the project
Also we are going have a ‘Diary Room’ for video’s and updates from each
member of the group as to what is going on in the project.
Camerawork – main role of Gabe and Mel
Acting – we will be using Sam as possibly both performance and narrative but
we are considering another actress for the narrative.
