2. Our target audience
• I made a prezi presentation with each slide including
information on what our target audience is like.
• The slides include our target audiences age and
gender, occupation, hobbies, style, media grouping,
uses and gratification.
• I also mentioned how we plan to use the utopian
theory and how that will benefit the audience.
• Doing this presentation has been useful as it is a start
on identifying our target audience. Once we have got
feedback from this questionnaire we can start to plan
our music video around that information.
3. Audience questionnaire
• The purpose of creating this questionnaire is
to get a better understanding of our target
audience.
• The outcome of this questionnaire will be
useful because we will get to know more
about our target audience.
• Such as; what other artists they like, what
they would like to see in a music video, what
kind of artist they would like to see in the
video and what kind of locations they would
like to see.
4. Analysis of audience questionnaire
• I analysed the answers for each question asked on the
questionnaire so I could summarise with a detailed analysis.
• This was very useful because we got a more specific idea of
what our target audience is like.
• We also got an idea of what they would like to see in the
video including locations, the vibe and the artist.
• We also asked what changes they would make to our ideas so
we can take some of them things into consideration.
• Now that we have this kind of information we can use it when
coming onto planning our music video.
5. Focus group discussion
• We put together a focus group so we could ask them
questions about what they thought of our music video ideas
and what improvements could be made.
• One of the questions was ‘what other locations would you like
to see in the video?’ and one of the answers was to see a New
York City theme. It is clear that this will not be possible
however a compromise could be to include London instead as
it is still a city and a much more likely goal to achieve.
• We also had a discussion about what we could name our
artist. After hearing the feedback from the focus group and
then discussing with my media group we decided to call our
artist ‘Sasha’. Going forward we will be referring to our artist
as Sasha and we will start to develop her persona and look!
