1. Blender was an American music magazine that billed itself as "the ultimate guide to music and more". It was also known for sometimes steamy pictorials of celebrities. It compiled lists of albums, artists, and songs, including both "best of" lists and "worst of" lists. In each issue, there was a review of an artist's entire discography, with each album being analysed in turn. Blender was published by Dennis Publishing. The magazine began in 1994 as the first digital CD-ROM magazine by Jason Pearson, David Cherry & Regina Joseph, acquired by Felix Dennis/Dennis Publishing, UK it published 15 digital CD issues, and launched on the web in 1997. It started publishing a print edition again in 1999 in its most recent form.

Hot pinks and blacks have been used to appeal to the correct audience which is teenage girls, it makes the magazine look girly and something they would read. ‘ T-PAIN: “my wife and I download porn together” They have got a well known pop star with a big piece of gossip, teenagers love to find out things about famous people. ‘ FREE DOWNLOADS’ teenagers now download there music instead of buying magazines so it will appeal to them also because its ‘FREE’ it will make them pick up the magazine because not all teenagers have the money to download all the latest songs. The fact the dominant image, Katy Perry, has very little clothing on and looks perfect will also appeal to the audience because they will look up to her and want to look as good as her. ‘ KEEPING IT WHEEL’ Up to date language has been used to relate to the audience which is teenagers.

3. The same style has been used for the contents page, simple text so its not to fancy and easy for the audience to read, simple colours so it doesn’t look cheap and more sophisticated. Text has been put around the main image on the page so each hasn’t been over powered by the other and the reader would take interest to them both. ‘ There was a void in music for a girl who had some sass, I knew that girl was me’ – KATY PERRY A small quote from Katy Perry has been used to make the reader want to read on and find out more about what she has said and why, because teenagers love gossip about the celebs. Katy Perry is again made to look sexy and perfect, making her an idol to the readers. Not to much has been put on the contents page, making it look simple and just giving the key information the readers will want. With the audience been teenagers all they want is pictures and the key gossip so this relates well to them.
