2. PDHPE encourages students to develop a
positive attitude towards a healthy
lifestyle.
Students will;
• Develop self-efficacy and a sense of value for
themselves and others.
• Develop a healthy attitude towards physical
activity and the benefits of an active lifestyle.
• Develop a sense of responsibility for themselves
and others and make informed decisions.
3. Why teach PDHPE?
• Teaching PDHPE in primary schools is very important
as it allows for children to develop healthy
behaviours from an early age that can be used
throughout their life.
• Further, teaching PDHPE can provide children with
the capacity to make informed decisions regarding
their own health and lifestyle.
4. Healthy, Active and Fulfilling Lives
PDHPE encourages a holistic view
towards children’s physical,
emotional and social wellbeing and
assists in building a foundation for
students to achieve their personal
best.
5. And remember…

FUN!!
