May 2010 marks the one-year anniversary of the use of Desire2Learn as an institution-wide Learning Management System at the University of Guelph. On May 5th, we gathered to mark this occasion with coffee, presentations and reflections. This is one of the slide-decks from this event.
2. As a new member of the Core Migration team,
it is evident to me that a tremendous
amount of work has been done by some
very talented people to make this migration
a success. I've been so impressed by the
innovation and creativity of the University
of Guelph faculty who have harnessed the
potential of this new platform to enhance
student learning. I'm really proud to have
been a part of all this.

in Ridgetown. I didn't use Online help or
designers lounge once classes began.
My fall semester is very busy and I don't have
time to search for information. I need to
contact someone who can give me the
answers I need right away.

11. I am very satisfied with the
responsiveness of the staff to faculty
concerns.
I was shocked (in a good way!) a few days
ago when I called with a specific question
about the gradebook, as I was getting ready
to finalize grades for submission to the
registrar, when I called at 9:00 am and
immediately got the assistance that I
needed, and my problem was solved.
The staff of TSS are top-notch.
