All smart phones have internet, apps, 3G or 4G
network. But, none of them have Siri.

• Siri is a new feature on the iPhone 4s
• Siri is a personal assistant who will speak to you when you talk to your
iPhone

• Siri was started by a Norwegian named
Dag Kittlaus as an app
• Dag Kittlaus then sold Siri to Apple
• Apple made Siri better than it was before
• Siri uses a web site Wolfram Alpha for
answers to the questions you ask
• Siri uses your applications when you ask
for the Weather and other application
related questions
• iPhone 4s came out November 4 2011

5. How Does Siri Work?
• Siri can be used even when your phone is
locked.
• To use Siri you hold down the home button.
• Once you call for Siri and she says “What can
I help you with?” You ask Siri to help you.

7. Siri Settings and Limitations
• You can have Siri call you whatever you want
it to. For Example Master Kyle
• You can also change the language of Siri and
she can talk back to you in that language
• However for now Siri has limited functions
for example it can only be in German,
French, and English. (British, Australian, and
USA) It also has limited functions outside the
US.

8. Interesting Facts About Siri
• The name Siri is derived from the name
sigrid (German) which means beautiful
victory. It also is an Indian name meaning
prosperity.
• Siri took over 40 years of research to be
developed.
• Siri was sold for over $200 million dollars.
• A video has been made “Siri tried to kill me”
where Siri develops a mind of its own.

9. Things We Like About Siri
• I can send texts without unlocking my iPhone
• I can find my house from where ever I am.
• I can ask Siri funny questions and get a funny
answer

10. Siri in School?
• I think it would be great to allow Siri in
Schools because:
1. It is a great calculator so you can practice
speaking your calculations.
2. You can do research on topics and get direct
answers or search the web and it is also
really fast for a smart phone.
• However Siri could be a distraction and used
to cheat somehow as a calculator.
