Organising Secretary for two International Chemistry Conferences and also actively participated
in Confernces, Seminars, Workshops, FDP and other programs
TEACHING STATEMENT
Teaching is building people and helping them become more of what they are meant to be.
He believes teaching is not just about giving knowledge about a particular topic or subject to a
specified group of student to whom I am liable to teach, rather realizing my duties towards the
needs of the society.
He introduced Bio-organic chemistry as a specialised paper in M.Sc Organic chemistry
curriculum in GITAM University. Bio-organic chemistry combines both organic chemistry and
biochemistry. The application of chemical principles and techniques to solve biological
problems encompassing the synthesis of natural products and other biologically active
compounds, the use of enzymes as synthetic reagents and the elucidation of biological reaction
mechanisms. He has been upgraded the contents and methods in our writing courses and have
been pleased by enthusiastic student reactions. He also included research projects into post
graduate program to facilitate their innovative ideas and approach towards scientific research.
He always believe in research and teaching that collaborates industry with academics.
New industrial course content developed for Dr Reddy Lab Employees and completed three
batches successfully as a Course Coordinator.
He acts as a role model to his students and in spite of his busy schedule as the Management
Coordinator is always available for them. He is also actively engaged in organising symposia
and conferences especially for the students so that they can get inspired and motivated to take up
12. research as a career in future. He has all the abilities of a skilled researcher and a wonderful
mentor. The above two programmes supported me in the curriculum development, management
and evaluation experience.
DETAILS OF CONTRIBUTIONS TO EDUCATIONAL INNOVATIONS:

RESEARCH STATEMENT
Dr Satyanarayana has been working extensively in the field of organic synthesis and isolation of
natural products. He is actively engaged in the synthesis of various bio active molecules ,
isoxazoles and pyrazoles combined with dibenzo azepines, with a particular emphasis on green
methodology. Another significant achievement involves the design and synthesis of novel one
component environmental favourable organic reactions (Ref:Green chemistry-RSC Paper).Apart
from that he was also doing isolation of biological active natural products and their synthesis in
research lab. Therefore, the research interests cover a wide variety of topics from developing a
basic understanding of the organic chemistry to be utilized for Biological applications.
RESEARCH PROJECT
“Investigation of Indian Euphorbia latexes against plasmodium falciparum for novel and potent
antimalarial agents” - UGC Major Project-13.6 lakhs - Co-Invistigator.
13. AREA OF RESEARCH
Organic Synthesis, Medicinal chemistry, Green chemistry, Isolation and Biological activity of
natural products
“Brief Introduction About Dr KVS”
Eleven research publications with High Impact Factor, twenty eight International and National
conferences, one Major research project, Two Faculty development programs, One Orientation
course, One summer research, One winter school, Two Workshops, Invited talks to various
Universities colleges and schools, Dr Reddy’s Lab employees training In charge, Secretary for
Coastal Chemical Research Society, social activities, multi dimensional qualifications and good
Academician and Researcher, all these made me believe that I am eminent candidate for this Job.
I had organised several International and National conferences and have very good experiences
by working at different organisations. My fascination for interest in chemistry gave my
experiences in conducting chemical fest as organising secretary and Convener for the
International conference. Even I have conducted many NGO activities like medical camps,
Dental camp, Books and Scholarship distribution and many more for the poor people.
I have initiated the idea for the establishment of Coastal Chemical Research Society (CRRS) for
chemistry people and Karthik venkata satyanarayana Welfare Society (NGO) for poor people. I
am more interested in implementation of new programmes on different concepts.
I have been gathered the information through mails, Phone Numbers and address of different
chemists and even had started maintaining a database separately for chemical society enlisting
about 4800 people and NGO organisation about 2000 people. We started a website
www.ccrs.org.in for chemists. Even I made a good time to time analysis and planning for better
programs.
My resume itself gives a clear picture about working capabilities. The programmes which I had
conducted had immensely put up my confidence and shows my team work and time
management. It also shows that there is sufficient academic moniteration of mine in conducting
different academic programs.
I have even inspired and encouraged many of my students to participate in summer research
projects and gave guidance in their carriers by looking into their interests. Many of them joined
in IIT’s, JNCASR,CSIR Labs and Multinational Pharma companies, they are presently working
at various places at Eminent positions.
A good experience has been gained by me in visiting the organisations like CSIR-
Thiruvananthapuram, IIT-Delhi and Guwahati, NISER- Bhubaneswar, IICT-Hyderabad, Delhi
Patent Office and so many state Universities.
