In psychology, happiness is a mental or emotional
state of well-being which can be defined by, among
others, positive or pleasant emotions ranging from
contentment to intense joy. Happy mental states
may reflect judgements by a person about their
overall well-being.
4. Misconceptions about happiness.
• We think we know what makes us happy.(but we don’t
really).
• We don’t accurately remember what makes us happy.
• People often assume that happiness is one thing.
• When we do achieve happiness it fades. We adjust
surprisingly quickly.
• Money cannot buy happiness.
5. Signs of a happy human
• They are healthy.
• The are optimistic by nature.
• They live the moment and try being themselves not
imitating someone.
• They have a purpose in life .
• Their needs are less and creativeness is high.

7. Happiness Index
• Happiness index or the gross national happiness (GNH) is the new terms
included in scaling the progress and development of the country.
• It was first mentioned in the constitution of BHUTAN , which was enacted on
18th july 2008.
• It has a nice incident connected with finding of the term ….
• Today World Happiness Report is made by United Nations as to list down
countries on the level of happiness and satisfaction of the citizens.
