TUNNEL: both viaducts on A-7 motorway over Guadalentín
river were affected. It took 30 hours to repair. Motorway cut
between km 593 and 595
TRAIN: railway between Lorca and Águilas kept closed since
11th to 25th May due to buildings collapse risk on the railway
GAS: HC Energía, gas distributor in Lorca, closed 1.200 natural
gas taps on the city. On May 17th service was recovered.
HOSPITALS: Rafael Méndez Hospital, with capacity for 257
beds, was cleared for safety reasons, althoug not importants
structural damages were detected. Emergency room was re-
opened on May 13rd.
Phone: On May 13rd Movistar and Vodafone repeaters were
installed. They were requested since the second earthquake

On May 18th, population with no home, registered in the city of Lorca,
were lodged in a second camp, “La Torrecilla”.
Camp capacity was about 1800 people. 1580 were finally lodged.
