This role is responsible for design and implementation of all applications and application platforms and for
reducing the Time-to-Market (TTM) of new products and services. It is also responsible for overall alignment
of all applications and platforms with the overall Technology Architecture.
 Participate in projects including but not limited to Due Diligence in M&A, License Bidding, Tendering.
 Lead Mega Projects for Capacity rollout, vendor SWAP, network modernizations & multivendor
integration and Product Development covering Mobile Financial Services (MFS), VAS & IN.
 Terminals certification (Terminals adaptation, platforms configurations, network capacity improvement,
battery savings, reduce signaling and U-plane/C-plane latency and reduce cell noise and interference).
 Responsible for designing technical solutions for new Mobile Financial Services(Core Banking System
Design ,Visa Integration , Western Union integration, NFC implementation )
 Define the main modules for a complete Service Delivery Platform (Blue print) for the group, working with
the following vendors (Oracle, HP, Ericsson, Huawei, Accenture)
 Updating group / industry system architecture trends, and ensures that OT future roadmaps consciously

Value Added Service Senior Manager, October 2004 – April 2010
Responsible for the design and selection of mobile Value Added Services technology across Orascom Telecom
group, including portals, service delivery platforms, mobile roaming services, mobile advertising, mobile
payment solutions, consumer products and messaging services.
 Lead the end to end project execution including operational risk assessment, functional specification of
platform; platform integration and helping operating companies establish process and policies for
operations.
 Responsible for initiating and developing the Mobile Financial Services at Orascom Telecom Group in
terms of Service design, product specification, solution selection and implementation (Pakistan,
Bangladesh, Egypt, Italy, Burundi, Zimbabwe) including study for NFC implementation in the future
 Managed the Consumer products (Handsets, CPEs, Devices) with responsibility including managing
partnerships, roadmap development and portfolio management.

designing technical solutions and studying new trends in global products & services and their implications on

Key Accomplishments:
 Participates in the development of the business processes through the definition and documentation of
the existing (current state) business processes and the desired (future state) business processes.

 Assists VAS department to apply business processes, and procedures as part of the Vodafone ISO
certification project
 Planning, Creation and Production of the Vodafone Live portal, integration with different entities within
the Operator. Responsible for the VF Live terminal certification and testing.
 Plan & implement Vodafone Messenger service (put the design for the IM service including the
integration with the following nodes Billing G/W, WAP G/W, SMSC, Mail Transfer Agent and Vodafone
Live Portal)
 Plan and implement two new SMSCs in the network (and this include the integration with the MSCs and
defining SMS routing to the 2 SMSCs)
 Define KPI’s and analyze performance to take correction actions when needed.
