Station, Texas. It’s a couple of hours away
from Dallas, Texas and five hours away from
Louisiana .

3. History
•
Texas A&M is the State’s first public institution
of higher education. It has more than 50,000
students and over 10 different campuses.
•
Their main campus is 5,200 acres. It is also
among the largest universities in the United
States. The university was created in 1877 by
the Texas legislature.
•
At first they didn’t allow women but under the
presidency of General James Earl Rudder, they
started admitting women in the 1960s.

The out of state tuition for A&M is 21, 826
without a scholarship.
•
You have to have a score of 21 or higher on
the ACT and a GPA of 2.5 or higher to get into
the university.

You will have to pay for your own study hours
and books as well.

Why Do I want to go to this great university?
•
At first glance, I wanted to go to this university
because it’s in Texas and I love Texas. But here
are some reasons: Their football program is
on the rise. They just went into their first year
in the SEC, with a new coach and had an 8-2
record. Their crowd is amazing and I just love
the story of the 12th man. There are also so
many things you can do in the city.
