1. This is a presentation on current Fashion in our 20th Century
London. I would have normally recorded my own voice
explaining each slide to my presentation. Instead of this I will
use clearly placed boxes of text, such as this one to explain
what I would have said.

“Fashion changes everyday. We are constantly adapting to
different styles and trends that come in and out of fashion on a
regular basis. Compared to fashion restrictions in past era’s it’s
safe to say that 21st century fashion is the most comfortable and
relaxing.”
“You can see how different
fashion was in past era’s,
clothes were tight fitting and
uncomfortable. In todays fashion
lighter fabrics are used for
comfort and less restriction.”

“Styles are a lot more varied in the 20th century, people tend to wear
what they want when they want. Fashion has become more accessible
and free. More and more people are finding their own individual styles
and trends. Particularly young girls and women have more freedom with
what they wear, trousers or trainers on a women never used to be
acceptable.

“Styles are usually adapted and exaggerated by fellow designers.
There is always another designer trying to create something
bigger and better. Fashion has become a competition.” “For example trainers being
transformed into high heel shoes and
wedges.”

“Old style fashion from past era’s
became known as Vintage, as people
started to embrace past cultures and
trends. The square cut and the boyish
look became a vintage must have.
Modern vintage are trends taken from
past era’s which are adapted and
modified to become ready to wear but
still create the look of it’s chosen
decade.

“Global superstar Rihanna wearing denim
shorts and a sweatshirt. Even famous
celebrities wear casual comfortable clothing.”
“Casual clothing is a big thing in the 20th Century, although people enjoy
looking good they also enjoy being comfortable. Relaxed clothing such
as leggins, loosely fitted t-shirts and baggy jumpers are a part of
everyone’s wardrobe in this day and age.
“You can still be comfortable in clothing and
look fashionable.”

“Miley Cyrus is a great example of a celebrity who
can make casual look fashionable and fun. Even
though she wears glittery gowns and silk frocks, her
normal day to day attire is relaxed and funky with a
rock and roll edge.”
“Miley Cyrus also has a massive influence on her fans and young
teenagers around Britain and America.”
“Miley Cyrus is a massive style icon of the
20th Century.”

“The 20th Century began to become an era where anything
goes. People began to experiment and think outside the box.
Hairstyles began to change and become more laid back.
Salons began to adapted and become unisex.
“A popular laidback hairstyle was one by Kurt Cobain
from Nivarna who started the grunge trend. Hair
would be messy and natural, it almost looked
unwashed.
“These days the style of your hair is another way to express
yourself just like fashion. Hairstyles are varied and different.
People are a lot more daring with their cuts and colours.

because of her daring and exciting choices.”
