Go green has become an important aspect of every industry and sustainability reporting has become a responsibility of every business, though profit maximization is the primary objective, many companies believe in Eco friendly environment operation. Technology has brought tremendous change, it has made both positive and negative impact on every sector and banking sector is the most dynamic in technological transformation. Information technology is one of the most important facilitator for transformation of Indian banking in terms of its transactions processing as well as for various other internal systems and processes. Green banking is an emerging concept for environmental sustainability which means promoting environment friendly practices for sustainable growth and reduces the carbon footprint from the banking industry. Green banking is considered as one of the tools for ensuring sustainable development where economic activity will not have any negative impact on the environment. Though it is believed that banking sector does not harm the environment but it impacts the environment in terms of excessive paper work, energy consumption such as lighting, air conditioning, etc, Green banking is all about going beyond to keep the world Eco environment without any significant damage. The most important themes of 21st century are the environmental protection and sustainable ecological balance, and it becomes an important issue that must be considered by all functional areas. However, green banking is still a major issue and can take an important role for the development of India. Even though the Indian banks have identified the need for greening their activities, they are running behind their counterparts that of developed economies. In addition to mitigating risks, green banking opens up new markets and avenues for product differentiation. The present study focuses its main attention to answer what in-house green banking practices are followed by the select commercial banks? In this context, the researchers have made an attempt to examine the perception of employees towards in-house green banking activities of the commercial banks in Cuddalore district. By adopting multi-stage sampling 175 employees were selected. As an essential part of the study, the primary data were collected from 175 bank employees with the help of schedule. The perception of the employees have been analyzed using student t test, analysis of one-way variance, analysis of co-efficient of variation, discriminant function analysis, and multiple regression analysis. The results of the study reveal that there is no significant relationship among the acceptance levels of the respondents of different genders, age groups, educational status groups, monthly salary groups, tenure of experience, place of work, bank belongs to, and type of bank towards in-house green activities of the select commercial banks. Security and privacy issues, technical issues, lack of infrastructure, lack of coordination among stakeholders, lack of awareness and capacity building, higher operating expenses, reputation risk, diversification issues - limiting and restricting the business, infant nature of green concept and liquidity issue are the problems stated by the bank employees in regards green banking. The researchers suggest various measures to improve the scope of green banking.

Green Banks are mission-driven institutions that use innovative financing strategies to accelerate the clean energy transition towards net-zero emissions by 2050. Green banking Benefits and Advantages: (1) Environmental: Reduces energy use, water use and carbon emissions, while using renewable energy to minimize the environmental impact. (2) Distinction and Recognition: Enhances competitive advantage by promoting low carbon investments, attracting eco-conscious customers and generating revenue. Green banking Challenges and Solutions: (1) Higher Cost: Requires a highly skilled and experienced staff, including loan officers to provide access to green financing services. Solution: The high cost of highly skilled staff is offset by cost savings from reduced energy and paper consumption. (2) Lack of Diversification: Will restrict business to meet sustainability requirements, resulting in a smaller customer base and lower profit margins. Solution: Green banks are more appealing to investors and lenders attracting new funding sources and diversifying their funding base. (3) Risk of Greenwashing: Significantly reduces the effectiveness of green banking strategies and can harm reputation and long-term growth. Solution: By adhering to sustainability regulations, green banks can mitigate greenwashing risk and focus on their core business operations. (4) Complex Policies: Subject to complex policies and regulations. Compliance requires implementing time-consuming and expensive procedures. Solution: Review policies and regulations and collaborate with regulators and policymakers to ensure compliance. Green banking Products include Green Car Loans, Green Home Loans, Green Mortgages, and Green Savings and Bonds. Green banking Services include Paperless Billing, Online Banking, and Remote Deposit Capture (RDC). Policy wise, in 2021, the Net-Zero Banking Alliance (NZBA) was established by 43 United Nations (UN) members. The NZBA alliance brings together banks committed to aligning their operations with the goal of reaching net-zero emissions by 2050. Progress in understanding the molecular basis of primary neurulation has occurred on two fronts: neural induction and shaping and bending of the neural plate. In regard to the former, the neural plate is now known to be the default state of the ectoderm, and induction of the neural plate actually involves suppressing the formation of the epidermal ectoderm (neural induction is not considered further herein). In regard to shaping and bending of the neural plate, about 100 mutations in the mouse have been identified that result in defective shaping and/or bending and, consequently, result in neural tube defects (NTDs); thus, these mutations provide insight into which genes are involved in both normal and abnormal neurulation. Because these form-shaping events of neurulation are driven by changes in cell behavior, as discussed earlier, it is not surprising that mutation of cytoskeletal, extracellular matrix/cell adhesion, cell cycle, and cell death genes results in NTDs. Neurulation is a highly choreographed morphogenetic series of events that must be precisely timed and coordinated across multiple tissues. This presumably involves signaling among tissues. It is the hope of studies using mouse mutations that such signaling pathways will be identified, ultimately leading to an understanding of the molecular basis of neurulation and the formation of NTDs in both animal models and ultimately in humans. In the following sections, we discuss what has been learned about the molecular basis of shaping and bending of the neural plate.Embryology Neurulation is the critical morphogenetic event occurring during the fourth week of human gestation, converting the previously developed neural plate into the ectoderm covered neural tube that will eventually differentiate into the brain and spinal cord. Genetic regulation of the events involved in mammalian neural tube morphogenesis is a complicated process that involves a multitude of genes. These genes have vital functions in a range of biological activities that are thought to include signaling molecules, transcription proteins and factors, cytoskeletal and gap junction proteins, growth factors, and tumor suppressor genes (Copp et al., 2003; Ewart et al., 1997; Sah et al., 1995; Zhang et al., 1996). The neural tube, formed by the cell shape changes and movements, ultimately fuses at several discrete points.Neurulation (or primary neurulation) starts in the fourth week of gestation and is the process that leads to the formation of the neural tube from the neural plate, the rudiment of the CNS [34]. It encompasses four essential and overlapping events: (1) neural induction, (2) shaping, (3) bending of the neural plate, and (4) closure of the neural tube. Neural induction (1) is the process of neural plate formation, that is, the beginning of the development of the CNS. It occurs during gastrulation starting on day 18. As described earlier, cells of the ectoderm differentiate into the neuroectoderm, a pseudostratif.
