Earl Warren was the 14th Chief Justice of the US Supreme Court, serving from 1953 to 1969. He is best known for leading the Supreme Court's unanimous decision in Brown v. Board of Education in 1954, which ruled that racial segregation in public schools was unconstitutional and helped launch the civil rights movement. As a former Governor of California, Warren brought leadership skills and the ability to build consensus to his role as Chief Justice.
