2. Question 5
• How did you attract/address your audience?
At the very beginning of our film shows the scenery of a a sort of
abandoned and isolated pathway following into a library. This scene
was then edited to make it black and white. By doing this it gives
the scene a mysterious and eerie atmosphere. This would instantly
get the audience hooked onto the
Other ways I could attract my audience is by making a trailer to the
movie and releasing it as an advert on TV and on the internet and in
cinemas. This will hopefully draw in some members of the audience
and they will be persuaded to watch my movie.
I would post pictures in magazines and newspapers this will also
hopefully attract a lot more people come watch the movie.
3. Question 6
• What have you learnt about technologies from the process
of constructing this product?
While in the process of creating my preliminary task and the
final product I cam across some software that was
completely new to me for example iMovie maker. However
there were some software I was very aware of and had a
good understanding of them and this was garage band. I
have learnt many new things when using iMovie maker
such as knowing how to change the brightness contrast and
the color of the scene. These have helped me with my
knowledge on how I would construct a movie which will
help me in the future.
4. Question 7
•
Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the
progression from it to the full product?
From our preliminary task i feel that i have learnt that one of the most important
things when making a film is the editing of the piece. This consists of the cutting
and transitioning of the scenes. When doing the preliminary task our transitions
and cutting was really bad and it kept jumping parts and the video did flow
properly. Now when we have edited the full product the transitions onto the next
scenes flow well and fit together nicely. Also the contrast brightness and colour in
each scene are done effectively such as the beginning when the scenery was being
filmed and the victim was walking to the library the screen was black and white to
show the isolation of the pathway to the library. I also learned that the dialogue
was very important this is because we used very little dialogue this meant that the
audience must be able to tell what the story is about. This made it even more
difficult, but we managed to do it. Another thing my preliminary task helped me
with was my planning time. It made me realize I need more time to plan and figure
out how and when I am going to film and edit.
