2. Learning Preferences
• At the beginning of the class I took the learning preferences
quiz and scored a 5 in Active, 1 in Sensing, 9 in Visual and a 7
in Sequential. As the class comes to an end I believe that my
learning preferences still remain the same. I still am a very
visual and active learner that needs visual stimulus in order to
learn. I found that I was really drawn to outlines and graphs
that depicted the material. In general I believe that learning
preferences in general definitely define how a person is able
to learn certain material. Knowing about learning preferences
allows me to hone in on the ones that work best for my
learning.

3. Learning Pathway
• At the beginning of this class I chose the Learning Sage Path. I
wanted to learn more about different types of technology that
would help me in learning. I do believe that I was successful in
learning more about mobile technology. An example being the
Screencasts, I didn’t know that people could use websites that
would essentially replicate PowerPoint. This allows the user to
not have to worry about carrying around a flash drive, and
could access the presentation anywhere. I did not change my
pathway because I wanted to stick with trying to learn more
about the different types of technology and that was exactly
what I got out of this class.

4. Learning Activities
• I believe the quest that helped me out the most was the one
about iPods and mp3 Players. Through this quest I learned
more about using my iPod for educational purposes. In the
past I used it solely for listening to music, but through the
discovery of podcasts I learned that I could listen to talks
about things I was interested in. I was actually able to learn
more about politics through podcasts. I was able to find an
download podcasts that catered towards politics and specific
topics in politics.

5. Explorationof Technologiesfor Learning(1)
• 1. iPods & mp3s
• I learned that I was able to use iPods as another means of
studying purposes. I learned that there were applications that
would help specifically cater towards certain subjects, or
applications that would allow you to create flashcards. This
accommodates my learning preferences well because using
the applications on the iPod stimulates my visual learning.

• 2. iPads/Tablets
• This quest is similar to iPods and mp3s because it utilizes
applications and touchscreens to help enhance learning. I
learned that very similar to iPods (iTouch) I could download
applications such as quiz applications or flashcard applications
to help me learn in my classes.

• 3. Podcasts
• I found this quest to be very useful because it showed me that
there are podcasts out there that can cater to almost any topic
I would be interested in. Although this does not necessarily
cater towards my visual learning, it caters toward my
sequential learning because most podcasts follow a certain
path from beginning to end.

8. Synthesizing Experiences (1)
• The iPods and mp3s quest interested me the most because I
liked the idea of portable and visual learning through an iPod.
I believe that there really isn’t a mobile technology that
doesn’t work for me. Everything I’ve learned about so far
seems to work out fairly well. Podcasts surprised me so far
because I never intended to be able to use it for learning and
personal purposes.

9. Synthesizing Experiences (2)
• iPods and mp3 players worked best towards my learning
preferences because of the visual feedback I was able to get
out of it. I was able to utilize applications that allowed me to
study flashcards, which allowed me to visually memorize facts.
I realize that there were applications for iPods, but I never
knew that there were educational tools that would allow me
to study so efficiently while on the go. Therefore having a
portal means of studying visually worked best for the way I
typically study my material.

10. Continual Learning (1)
• I will continue to use iPods after this class is over as a means
of learning. I always have my iPod with me and therefore it
allows me to continue to use the applications that cater to my
learning. Even outside of school, I can use my phone to look
up other applications that would help efficiently perform tasks
and jobs.

11. Continual Learning (2)
• I will definitely continue to also use podcasts for learning after
this class. I am just absolutely astounded by how much
information can be gathered and learned through podcasts.
There was virtually a podcast for every single topic I could
think of. Some were very educational whilst some were more
for entertainment purposes. I will try avoiding social
bookmarking because I don’t see myself trying to look up links
and looking through articles on subjects.
