2. An award-winning coach, Kelly Greenberg
most recently coached the women’s
basketball team at Boston University, where
she recorded a perfect conference record.
Away from collegiate coaching, Kelly
Greenberg likes to play various sports,
including tennis.
A sport that challenges the mind and body,
tennis offers numerous health benefits.
3. 1. Tennis requires quick thinking and strategy. As such,
alertness is essential for playing the sport to develop shot
patterns that have the best chance of winning a match.
Players who participate in tennis constantly exercise their
mind, which creates new and sharper connections
between the brains and nerves.
2. Tennis players can benefit from improved
cardiovascular health. Anaerobic movements, like quick
sprints, aid in burning fat and building stamina. In addition,
research has linked regular physical activity to decreased
heart disease and stroke risk.
3. Especially important for children and individuals with
certain sight or movement impairments, the sport
enhances fine motor skills, such as hand-eye coordination.
