7. Doing The Laundry
Purpose:
Students will compare the laundry methods of
the 1800s to modern methods. They will be
able to see the differences in both the
amount and the nature of work that needed
to be done to do just one load of laundry.
Key Messages:
We can conserve water by thinking about the
way in which we do laundry
We forget about all the work that it takes to
get the water into our homes prior to our use

Your teacher will guide you through the process of assigning activity
centres and partners.
Your teacher will be giving you time to work with your partners and
prepare for your activity centre, prior to festival day. Review all the online
resources when preparing
At any given time, you may be presenting your activity, doing crowd
control, or directing groups; your flexibility is greatly appreciated
Don’t Panic! We may have to shuffle leaders around to ensure each
activity is covered; again, your flexibility is greatly appreciated
