NetworkWilliamsburg celebrates its 5 year anniversary on December 5 - 5 years of support for nonprofits serving the greater Williamsburg area. To see how we've grown, we've created a short slide show for you!
3. NetworkWilliamsburg coordinates
Collection Drives throughout
the community to collect
program supplies needed by
registered nonprofits. More than
1,000 items, including water
bottles, school supplies, toiletry
items, office supplies, and pet
supplies were collected.

7. NetworkWilliamsburg publishes the first “Youth
Resource Booklet: A Student’s Guide to
Volunteering in Williamsburg”.
NetworkWilliamsburg holds Aware Fair for
students to meet with local nonprofit
representatives, learn about opportunities
to help, and sign up to volunteer.
9. 2010
NetworkWilliamsburg offers the 1st Nonprofit
Board Training Series to educate citizens
on the roles, responsibilities & rewards of
serving on a nonprofit Board.
The Board Network provides nonprofits with
access to graduates of the Board Training
as they seek to add knowledgeable &
productive Board members.

11. NetworkWilliamsburg partners with AMF
Bowling to raise thousands of dollars
for multiple nonprofits through the
“Bowl for Bucks” program.
Additional partnerships to benefit
multiple nonprofits include
DailySocials and spirit nights with
zpizza and Jimmy’s Oven & Grill.
12. 2011
NetworkWilliamsburg charters a Toastmaster’s
Club, Voices of Change, open exclusively
to nonprofit staff to help them improve
their public speaking skills.
NetworkWilliamsburg commissions a study on
the role of social media in our community
and how nonprofits can benefit from
engagement in this ever growing platform.

fourth year of monthly continuing
education workshops.
Since 2008, 45 workshops have
reached more than 350 nonprofit
Board, staff, and volunteers
representing 75 local nonprofits.
