7. WHAT ARETHE LEGAL RAMIFICATIONS?
 Most libraries did not require waiver, and the only one that did was an academic
library where their customers are over 18.
 One library suggested that the general “We are not responsible for lost and stolen
property” clause that we probably already have should cover the bike locks on our
property too.

8. WHAT PROCEDURES SHOULD WE USETO
CHECK OUT?
 Same day checkout – Use the same rule as same day laptop
 3 Locks per branch – Determine usage maybe some branches just need one, or
some need more? Can re-distribute or purchase more after beta phase
 Keys for locks are kept near checkout stations, customer checks out key, brings
key and receipt of checkout to desk, and then we give them lock
 Use lanyard so can attach RFID tag and key to it.
 They can bring bike into foyer (out of traffic) to retrieve and return lock
 If they loose key they will be charged full price of lock, and given the extra keys
once lock is paid for.
