2. Charles Leadbeater
noticed the rise of
“passionate amateurs
who act like
professionals”, making
breakthrough discoveries in
many fields; software being
one of them.
3. Wordpress
O WordPress has been a massive part of our coursework as this
is where we present all of it. We present our work via blogs
where we add pictures, videos, text and links. WordPress has
helped us to express our work through technology and helped
show our talent and skills.
O WordPress is fairly straightforward to use. Its allowed us to be
creative in our presentation because we are able to link online
software's on to posts on our blog.
4. Final cut pro x
Final cut pro x is where we designed all of our
adverts. We all have had previous experience using
Final cut pro x in our production in AS. This year we
have made ourselves more familiar with the shortcuts
to cope under time constraints. We feel these have
helped us produce quicker but also high quality work.
5. As we have become more familiar with
final cut pro x we have learnt a few
cheats which we have used within our
production.
6. Slideshare
O We found that Slideshare was very easy to use. You can
create a Slideshare which will then be on the internet for
others to view.
O We think that Slideshare is a great way to present
attractive power points which consist of plenty of
information.
7. Prezi
O Prezi is a very challenging type of presentation which
gets easier the more you use it. We used Prezi in AS
therefore we already have experience of the software
and are now familiar with it. However there is sometimes
problems with embedding Prezi therefore we had to
screenshot the Prezi then add the link.
8. Powtoon
O Powtoon has given us the opportunity to have fun with
our presentation and to make it something which is more
unique to other candidates coursework. Powtoon also
has lots of different templates to help you with
presentation skills. We feel that using Powtoon has
taught us the importance of having variety of
presentation skills.
9. Emaze
Emaze is an online presentation tool that allows you to
design presentations. You can pick templates to create
amazing and spectacular presentations. Emaze is easy to
use and has variety of different designs to help you to
create individuality. We found Emaze just this year in A2.
We feel it has added to our presentation skills and made
our blog look smarter. Emaze helps empower you to create
a spectacular presentation which we think will impress
many people.
10. YouTube has been used a lot within our production.
YouTube is a type of distribution for our adverts. Having
our production up on YouTube exposed our final
productions to negative or positive feedback. We feel this
is great as it will help us learn and improve from other
peoples point of view. We will be able to see the success
of our products on YouTube as it is determined by user
generated filtering. YouTube has also helped us create
mini videos such as tutorials in our planning and research
which can now be accessed on YouTube by others who
are looking to use certain equipment's and software's.
11. O Gauntletts theory of 2.0 is a platform that allows us to
connect. Gauntlett states that because of web 2.0, we
as audiences can become our own producers thanks
to websites such as YouTube. Through this we can
create our own identity and even influence others
O YouTube has also given us the ability to create our
own content from existing content, for example within
feedback in our evaluation we created a video called
gigglebox which we created from the idea of the
program called gogglebox.
O YouTube also allows producers to gain viewers without
having to pay for advertising slots. YouTube also
allows use to take part in participatory culture because
the don’t act as just consumers but also as
contributors.
