2. Colours
• I’m focusing on the idea of using binary
opposition (good and bad). I will emphasize
lighter colours with Alicia, and darker colours
with Sophie and James. This is because dark
colours have connotations of something angelic,
and in this case, villainous. The lighter colours
used with Alicia would contrast with the darker
colours, therefore it would hopefully become
clear that Alicia should be seen (literally and
figuratively) in a better light.
3. General
• I have decided to make the digipak as the ‘Ain’t
Nobody’ single, rather than Jasmine Thompson’s whole
album. This will allow me to gear any photos taken at
the production stage towards the narrative for my
song.
• For purely visual effect, I may put some of the lyrics to
the song on the inside cover. However, not
conventionally in a booklet, but on the actual digipak.
• Genre: It is conventional for artists in the ‘pop’ genre to
have the front cover of their CD case/digipak as a
photo of themselves.
4. Functioning
• The dikipak will haveonly two folds, as there is
only one CD, so no need for it to be larger
than necessary:
5. Plan of Action
• I will take some photos on the days of
filming, and select the best one(s) for the
blog.
• I will need one of James and Sophie sat
together, and one of Alicia alone against a
plain purple background (either sat on the
floor or stood leaning against the
background).
