4. Double page spread
NME
This NME double page spread gives
me some ideas of how to do the
layout. I like the layout they
did of the main image as it took
over most of the first page and
the second page this makes the
pages link together better and
form the ‘double page’ I think
that the structure of the actual
article is good but not overly
perfect. The articles include
things like a stand first, drop
cap at the beginning of the
paragraphs and quotes from the
interview or report. I like that
the title is quite large and in a
standard font that fits the theme
very well. Everything on this
page gives me inspiration because
it is a sophisticated layout and
I think that will look good in my
magazine.
5. Double page spreads
Kerrang
I am going to be using this
double page spread of Kerrang
magazine to help give me some
ideas of how to layout my
article. I really like the layout
of this double page spread
because everything is positioned
neatly and everything is easily
readable. I think that the
pictures included on the picture
are a good quality and really
give a rock vibe. It really
embodies what my chemical romance
are about. The colours used
reflect the theme and the fonts
are bold and easy to read. I
would like my page to look
similar to this but with my own
twist. It gives me ideas of how
to take my pictures and what of.
I think that double page spread
with similar things to this would
make my magazine look quite
professional.
