 Its programmes can be categorized into three parts
• SPOKEN WORD
• MUSIC
• SOUND EFFECT
 Generally in Radio we can find the announcements.
 These announcements made by people called as ‘announcers’
 What is spoken in radio is written down- ‘Scripted’

 Its oldest & basic format in AIR
 Invite experts or prominent persons to speak on specific topic
 Over the years radio talks have become unpopular
 We can listen to these talks in only AIR today

 Different types of interview in terms of duration, content,
purpose etc
 Duration vary from 10 to 30 minutes
 Interviews used in various radio programmes like
documentaries
 Interview based programmes in news CA etc
 Phone- in- programmes become popular- made interactive
 Generally ‘Voxpop’ takes place in interviews.

 Radio provides a platform to discuss various issues
 Themes are social or economic, Home & form, etc
 Two or three people will share views for 15-30 mnts
 the moderator conducts the discussion
 Introduce the topic and participants and give conclusions
