3. The time and the place
action.
• The book tells the story of four ordinary
children: Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy
Pevensie, who have been evacuated to
the English countryside from London in
1940 following the outbreak of World War
II. They discover a wardrobe in Professor
Digory Kirke's house that leads to the
magical land of Narnia.
4. Plot
• The book is a fantastic story. Many unusual
creatures are also found in it, for example fauns.
The plot begins when the Pevensie siblings arrive in
the old house. They discover it’s rooms and find the
passage to an unusual world of Narnia in the old
wardrobe. They enter this world and have
remarkable adventures, getting to know all sorts of
secrets. Book’s protagonists are Lucy, Peter, Susan
and Edmund.
5. In our opinion...
• This book is a must for every fan of the fantasy,
but also for everyone else. The action is fast,
there is a new type of magic world, the
description of the creatures and the world itself
is very interesting. We are not fans of fantasy,
but when we read the book it surprised us with
an interesting plot.
