My Tools
1. Identify ways on how to effectively implement the curriculum. Interview the school
administrator / principal.
CURRICULUM
IMPLEMENTATION
Always consider the
students as the center of the
curriculum and as the most
important stakeholder.
Gave importance to teachers
who gave life to the curriculum
through their day to day
teaching.
Build a close relationship on
the parents of the learners
since they are the supporters
of the curriculum.
Recognize every person
that helps in the
implementation of the
curriculum.
Follow the administrators in
school since they are more
knowledgeable in their field
which is to correctly
implement the curriculum.
Always stay positive on
problems that may arise
during the curriculum
implementation.
State the roles of the following in curriculum implementation:
1. Learner – The most important stakeholder in the curriculum is the learner. It is to them
where the curriculum is implemented. Their main role is that they made the curriculum
alive.
2. Parents – They support the curriculum through the tuitions they paid. Aside from that,
they also help the school in dealing problems especially with regards to their sons’
daughters’ welfare who are students of the said school.
3. Faculty Members – Without them, there will be no actualization of the curriculum
since they are the one who plan for the day to day discussion and also implement
what they had prepared for the learners.
4. Administrators – They maintain the whole curriculum implementation through
evaluating it regularly. They also monitor problems that treat the whole learning
process.
5. Community Members – They also help the curriculum since they can be tapped for
resources. Also, when the curriculum needs more concrete examples of the concepts
taught, the school needs the community. This is called community emersion where
students are exposed to the community to feel/experience the concepts taught.
6. Other Stakeholders – They evaluate, maintain and be the basis in the making of the
curriculum.
2. Visit the Learning Resource Center of a school. Interview the media / learning resource
staff. How does technology help in delivery the curriculum?
Technology has great role in delivering the curriculum especially on today’s
age. Day to day discussions are becoming easy through the use of technology. Also,
recording or keeping the results of evaluation had become relatively handy. In the
classroom context, instead of the traditional/chalkboard discussion, PowerPoint
presentations are used thus making the learning enjoyable as well as interactive.
3. Interview a faculty member or an administrator. Ask what criteria they use in
evaluating their school curriculum.
To evaluate the curriculum, we should follow the following criteria in a form of
questions:
a. Are the goals of the curriculum achievable and does it leads to competitiveness
of the learners, local and abroad?
b. Do the resources of the school enough to implement a curriculum?
c. Are the students take part in the school curriculum implementation?
My Enriching Activities
Complete the graffiti wall and ask students to write what tools they learned in assessing
the curriculum.
